I was born in 1980 in Dublin, Ireland – which is where I still live today with my Canadian wife and young daughter. I’m a qualified librarian by profession, and hold a degree in social science from University College Dublin. My main gambling interest lies with horse racing, but I also dabble in Gaelic Games and enjoy some trading when time permits. I love researching horse racing trends and stats and building strategies/systems based on these figures.
I was introduced to betting at an early age, and my late father would give me 50p every Saturday to pick out a horse! My first real bet as an adult however, was on the one and only Istabraq in the 1998 champion hurdle. Needless to say, I was hooked ever since. In the latter years with the advent of the exchanges, I started to take a more serious approach to betting and stopped viewing it as a fun hobby. A huge amount of my time nowadays is spent researching racing, but I wouldn’t change it for a thing.
