Simon Rowlands
Simon Rowlands worked at Timeform for many years as a handicapper, writer and editor - and for two years as an exchange punter - before joining The Sportsman in 2005 as its racing editor.
At The Sportsman, he also established an automated algorithmic handicapping database, wrote the weekly "Rowley File" column and was the paper's time-analysis expert. In 2007, he helped to launch Betfair Radio. He now punts and works as a freelance racing journalist in West London. Simon specialises in statistical and number-based approaches to horseracing analysis, especially in terms of form and time.
