Paul Soucy Poker
Canadian Paul Soucy discusses his 5th WSOP.
It's that time of year again and even though this is my 5th World
Series of Poker it always feels like my very first.
Regardless of poker status: From the new online youngster to seasoned pro, poker players are always nervous and excited like little kids on Christmas morning.
After five years of dancing through the minefield that is present day
sponsorship, I am extremely pleased to announce I've signed with world
famous Betfair Poker! I wanted to sign with a reputable company that
wasn't embroiled in any controversies. When traveling throughout Europe
Betfair is huge - you can't turn a corner without seeing their influence
on poker. They also have an International poker division based in the U.K. which makes them the biggest Canadian force in online poker.
I am predominantly a cash game specialist and have had success in live
tournaments as well. Although limit & no limit hold 'em are my
specialties, I play all of the mixed games as well. Admittedly, I spend most of my time playing live but my online play has resulted in a tidy profit as well. I'll be
looking to play many online tournaments, satellites & freerolls in the
upcoming months.
This week, all of the players will be arriving in Las
Vegas. For the most part we all have media commitments and attend a
couple of meet and greets. It's nice getting to see all of your peers at
the same time in a field that usually has us spread out across the
world. I'm doing a radio interview tomorrow and will start playing in
cash games right after that. I will be blogging updates about the adventure
that is the WSOP, but if there are any questions or writing suggestions
feel free to hit me up at wptseuss@yahoo.ca.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Take it EZ
