NFL Betting: The Latest News
Graham Lewis updates us with all the news in the NFL which may have an impact upon football betting.
New York Jets - Calvin Pace
The Jets seem to have had more than their fair share of player problems during the off-season. Linebacker Calvin Pace has now been suspended for four games without pay for breaking the rules relating to the use of performance-enhancing substances.
In a statement released by the New York Jets it was claimed that the substance found during testing was an ingredient in an over the counter dietary supplement.
Pace said: "I am responsible for what I put into my body, and I should have paid closer attention to the league's guidelines, I regret that this has happened and apologize to my team-mates, the entire Jets organization, as well as the fans. Hopefully, this does not distract from our ultimate goal of winning the Super Bowl".
I think that before any Super Bowl dreams are realized, or even thought about, the Jets really need to steady the ship. New Head Coach Rex Ryan 'T-REX' does seem like a man that can do it and I am sure he is putting every effort in. Even so, they remain at odds of [55.0] in the Super Bowl Winner market on Betfair and I can only see that drifting at the moment.
Calvin Pace played in every game last season, but will not be able to return this season until the Jets play the Miami Dolphins in the Monday Night Football game on October 12th.
Tennessee Titans - LenDale White
Titans running back LenDale White is making a serious bid to improve his already impressive form. During the off-season he has lost over 30lbs.
This will be White's fourth season in the NFL and the final year of his contract with the Titans. I loved watching White last season, and with the boost that this should give him we should be in for some magic this year.
Stating his intentions to keep in top condition this year, he will be hoping to shake the 'Land-Whale' tag.
