NFL Betting: The Latest News

Graham Lewis takes a look at the latest rumors and news doing the rounds in the NFL.

Washington Redskins

If we had been at week eight of last season right now, then you would think I was mad if I told you that Jason Campbell could be a doubt for starting Quarter Back at the Washington Redskins for the start of the 2009 season. He stood with a great touchdown to interception rate and his performances were top class.

The rumors have been doing the rounds for a while now that his future as a Redskin is in doubt and the pressure must be getting to him. Chris Cooley has stated that his team mates are fully behind him and look up to him as a great leader and captain of the team.

Unless the Redskins really have a better alternative for starting Quarter Back then I think they should publicly put the story to bed by making a long-term commitment to Campbell and concentrate on preparing the team to emulate the great start they made last season.

New York Jets

Rex Ryan held a press conference in which the questions over the non-attendance of Leon Washington and Thomas Jones at the recent mini-camps were answered. Well...I say answered, Rex Ryan simply said he would have loved them to be there, and expects them to attend the mandatory camps. Nothing is really confirmed there about their future with the New York Jets.

London Games

There has been news doing the rounds that there will be two games from now on played at London's Wembley stadium. Having attended both I am thrilled at the prospect of going to another. Wembley is a great stadium and the support for NFL in the UK is ever-growing.

90,000 tickets to the last game sold out in minutes! With the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers playing in London in October there is already a buzz of anticipation.
