NFL Betting: Rumours and Facts

Graham Lewis takes a look at the rumours doing the round in the NFL at the moment and tries to separate fact from fiction.

Jason Taylor

There have been numerous rumours floating around this week concerning Jason Taylor joining the New England Patriots but, in shock news yesterday, he re-signed for the Miami Dolphins. It is thought to be a one-year deal worth $1.5 million. Taylor was reported to have said...

"My heart has always been in Miami and so I am truly excited to call myself a Dolphin once again. I was presented with a number of different opportunities, but in the end the combination of this being the best situation for my family, my love for this community and my tremendous loyalty to a great organization made this an easy decision."

Speculation remains as to how exactly he will fit back into the team but, having played eleven seasons with the Dolphins and six Pro Bowls, he will bring welcome experience back to the improving franchise.

Brett Favre

Rumour has it that Brett Favre might be ending his second retirement to join the Minnesota Vikings. There does not seem to be too much evidence to support the rumour but, after all the events that led to the end of his last retirement, you can't blame the press for talking.

It was reported that he did not attend the Vikings' recent off-season training camp, so it would seem unlikely that the story is true. If he does go though, it will be interesting to see how (or if) the NFL odds move in the NFC Conference Winner market. Just how many years can he go on playing top class football?
