NFL Betting: Buffalo Bills Toronto Series

Graham Lewis looks at the latest news surrounding the Buffalo Bills Toronto Series.

Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson has been in the news this week saying that he is not in a rush to have more games added to the Bills Toronto Series. Wilson said that he would like to wait two or three years to see how successful the series is.

To me, his comments felt like a call out to fans and organisers. Many feel that the high prices of last year's game against the Miami Dolphins kept some fans away, especially in difficult financial times. This year, tickets for the game against the New York Jets will be available at lower prices, with 11,000 below $100.

There was also some disappointment last year that the game lacked the feel of a home game for the Bills, but the Canadian support does seem to be growing. Buffalo Bills have reported an increase in season ticket sales to Canadian based fans.

I think the Bills would do well to take a look at how the New Orleans Saints went about creating a home feel at the 2008 International Series game in London. It was hard for fans not to see New Orleans as the home team since they were treated so well.

The addition of Terrell Owens to the Bills roster should give them a boost in offense. If Trent Edwards can continue to improve his game then it could become one of the better combinations for 2009, and certainly bring some more excitement when they visit Toronto in December.

Pre-season for the Bills starts on August 9th at Tennessee Titans.
