Denver Broncos @ San Diego Chargers

The Betting Advantage looks at the Monday Night Football match-up between two AFC West rivals in an attempt to find the NFL betting value.

For the first time in 11 years the Denver Broncos have started the season 5-0. They will look to stay undefeated tonight when they go into San Diego to do battle with the Chargers.

The Chargers are off to a slow start at 2-2. San Diego are coming off a bye week so that should help them in this contest as they have had two weeks to prepare for this game. They have also had some time to rest injuries in that stretch and are healthy with the exception of linebacker Stephen Cooper who is questionable for tonight's game.

Denver is also healthy as they just have running back Correll Buckhalter on their injury report. Buckhalter is probable for the game tonight.

On the season Denver have pulled out some great wins by keeping the game close and coming through near the end. Three of their five wins are by seven points or less, with last week's win over the New England Patriots coming in overtime. Tonight they find themselves in a familiar spot as the underdog. You can back Denver to win this game at [2.60] on Betfair.

I happen to like the other side of the ball. To me, the Chargers have both a stronger offense and defense. With them being at home I like backing them on Betfair for [1.62]. I think there is some value in that price.

I think that this is a bigger game for the Chargers. A loss would put them 3 ½ games behind the Broncos for the lead in the AFC West. Phillip Rivers will throw the ball well tonight and exploit the Denver secondary. Rivers has thrown 12 career touchdowns against the Broncos, compared to just three interceptions.
